Hi softies 🤍
I’ve been thinking about how to make this space feel warm and familiar, making it feel like a regular blog and more like a gentle conversation. And honestly, softies feel right. It feels like community, like we’re easing into something together.
With the new year around the corner, I found myself thinking about resolutions and how I don’t think I want to do them the usual way this time.
I used to write long lists of everything I wanted to have or achieve by the end of the year. Big goals. Big expectations. And while there’s nothing wrong with that, I’ve realised that approach doesn’t always feel kind to me anymore.
So this year, I’m trying something different.
Instead of traditional resolutions, I’m thinking in terms of a six-month visible plan and a twelve-month visible plan. I honestly don’t know how this will go, but I’m willing to try.
Growing this blog is definitely part of my six-month plan. Showing up consistently, writing honestly, and letting this space become what it’s meant to be. Being more open with my friends is another one. I’m writing this openly because it matters to me. I do want friendships where thoughts align, where conversations feel safe and genuine.
Eating better is also on both my six-month and twelve-month plans. Not from a place of pressure, but from care. And of course, learning how to live a softer life not just in theory, but in practice, is something I’m carrying into 2026 with intention (lol, heavy emphasis on trying).
This way of planning feels lighter. Less rigid. More forgiving. It gives room to grow without constantly feeling behind.
So I’m curious, how do you plan for a new year?
Do you write resolutions, set themes, take it month by month, or just let life unfold?
I’d really love to hear how you approach it.
Till we meet again,
Remember to live a soft life 🤍
