Hi softies 🤍✨
As the weekend is upon us, let’s talk about self-care, the gentle, everyday kind.

Being a softie is knowing how to care for yourself in ways that feel natural and nourishing. It’s recognising when you need rest, allowing yourself to slow down, and permitting yourself to enjoy life. Sometimes that looks like stepping out, visiting new places, taking yourself on a solo outing, or spending time with people you love.
And sometimes, it looks like staying right at home.

For a long time, I found it difficult to truly enjoy myself. Enjoyment felt complicated, especially when it involved spending on myself, something I’ve talked about in a previous blog. But lately, I’ve been unlearning those old habits. I’m discovering that joy isn't a luxury; it’s a necessity.

One type of self-care I’ve grown to really love is staying home all day. No pressure to be productive. No overthinking what to cook or what needs to be done. Just staying in bed, watching a movie, resting, and letting my mind be quiet for once. I also love applying a thick, moisturising mask and letting my skin drink up all that goodness while I lounge. Pushing worries aside and getting lost in an excellent story.

Honestly? These days are a total game-changer. They clear the "brain fog" and help me think so much more sharply. I emerge feeling physically refreshed and mentally recharged.

So let me ask you, how do you enjoy yourself? What’s that one thing that makes you feel like "you" again?
Do you enjoy movies as I do? I’ve watched some incredible dramas over the last few weeks that touched my soul.

Would you like me to share a list of the movies and dramas I’ve been loving lately in my next post? Let me know in the comments!
Till we meet again,
Remember to live life softly🤍
