Do You Find It Hard to Spend on Yourself?
A gentle reflection on learning how to spend on yourself without guilt, choosing quality over fear, and slowly embracing a softer, more intentional way of living.

Do you ever work so hard, yet find it difficult to spend money on yourself? Do you hesitate when it comes to buying the things you actually need, but somehow end up spending on things that don’t really matter?
I know this feeling well. The fear of going broke can quietly control how we spend. Instead of choosing quality or what truly serves us, we settle for “good enough.” I’m guilty of this, too. I often find myself buying dupes instead of the things I really want, telling myself it’s safer that way.
Next year, I want to do better. I want to spend wisely, but also choose things that add value to my life without guilt. The same goes for experiences. I’m thinking about travelling, maybe picking a country and allowing myself that joy. If it happens, I’ll share it here.
If you’ve ever been here, holding back from yourself even when you deserve more, how did you break that cycle? How did you learn to spend on yourself without fear?
Until we meet again,
Remember to live a soft life.
